I'm very happy to say that Apple has finally approved our lifetime unlock in app purchase, so now you can upgrade from within the app. We've also fixed up the bugs that were stopping some users from sending messages, which is, you know, the entire point of the app. 😅

I want to pause company speak for a minute to say as an indie dev it warms my heart to make software that really helps people, and that they appreciate enough to tell me. Thank you to everyone who's written me over the last few days to mention how they're using Short Circuit, it means so much to me and I’m excited to keep making it better. 🥰🥰🥰 simian.rodeo/@jasontucker/1101

Short Circuit 1.0.3 has been approved by Apple, which means that our long international nightmare is over. If you were having trouble trying out the app over the last few days now's your chance, I really hope you like it! 🦊 apps.apple.com/us/app/short-ci

We were up until 1:30am working on a fix for people who didn’t get their 10 free messages, and we figured it out. Unfortunately it required us to submit an app update to Apple, but the good news is that the app is already in review so now it’s just a matter of time. In the mean time if you run into an issue where the app says you need to upgrade to send messages, just force quit your app (swipe it up and away), reopen Short Circuit, and you’ll be chatting with Shorty!

I'm really proud to announce Red Panda Club's first app, Short Circuit.

Short Circuit is a native iOS, iPad, and Mac app for using ChatGPT. The app supports Siri, Shortcuts, markdown, code, and more. It's a great personal tutor, can help plan trips, we even used Short Circuit to help build Short Circuit!

And it's only getting better, we already have a native Mac app in private beta, are adding support for GPT-4, and a bunch more features.

Wanna try it out? 🦊

It's been cold here so for a nice change I'll be dropping some hot new features later this week. ☀️

Phew, after working very hard for the last month beta 2 is done. A couple of highlights…

- Plinky Accounts! The server is up and running, you can now sign into Plinky from multiple devices. A lot more work is coming here, this one-man shop can only move so fast. 🪧
- You can now update multiple tags at once. 🏷️
- A loooot of fixes, thank you to everyone who reported and helped with these. 🙇🏻‍♂️

There’s a lot more, if you’re interested I now have a blog with the release notes! blog.redpanda.club/2023/01/app

The new server is up and Sign in with Apple seems to be working, so once I'm done working around a few of Apple's authentication edge cases I'll put a new build on TestFlight so you can find new and improved ways to break it! 🍎

Thank you so much for the feedback, it was genuinely appreciated and helped a lot! I won't be shipping the "playful" copy because it can be construed as a bit too cheeky. And by sharing I was able to fix some spacing and corner radius issues, thank you @mark and @objc. 🦊

I will abide by the results of this poll.

I’m adding the ability to sync your links to a backend and have an important question: Should I ship this Dismiss button or think of a better design?

After 14 failed attempts today the Plinky backend is finally deployed! Hope you don't expect it to work though, that'll take at least another 20 minutes while I mess with some config files. 🙃
